Check out materials for your classroom for an extended loan period!
Your "Teacher Card" allows WCPL-owned books and other selected library materials that normally have a 3-week loan period to be checked out for six weeks with two renewals of three weeks.
This extended loan period gives your students more time with library materials, and lets you build a temporary classroom library of resource materials for school projects, special teaching units, and other educational support.
To apply for a Teacher Card, bring the following items to the Library:
Teacher Cards expire annually on August 31. At that time, personal identification and reverification of address and teaching status is required.
Teachers assume financial responsibility for materials borrowed. However, up to $40 per year can be waived for lost, damaged, or overdue WCPL-owned materials borrowed for classroom use. Fines and charges will apply for materials borrowed through SearchOhio or OhioLink.
Owners of private schools or preschools may apply for a teacher card for organizational use. The owner will be listed as the guardian of the account and must assume financial responsibility for items checked out on card. Owner may grant consent on account to his/her teachers.
Of course, you may still carry a separate Library card for all of your personal borrowing not related to your classroom. Regular Library card applications may be filled out in person at the library, or online.
