Lincoln Exhibit On Display
Visit the Lincoln: The Constitution and the Civil War Exhibit on display at Centerville Library now thru the end of May. Our Library is one of only 200 sites nationwide to host this exhibit that will leave you with a more complete understanding of Lincoln as president and the Civil War as the nation’s greatest constitutional crisis. Fifth Night: Double header on Tuesday, May 21: Documentary SLAVERY BY ANOTHER NAME from 5:00-6:40 P.M. and THE RECONSTRUCTION AMENDMENTS presented by Elizabeth Orlando from 7-8:30 P.M. at Hithergreen Center.
Running/Walking for a Good Cause
More than 110 runners/walkers came out on May 19 to support the Friends of WCPL in the Race to the Library 5K! The hot and hilly course was challenging, but a great time was had by all. Thanks to all the participants and corporate sponsors who made this event a success!
Congratulations Good Life Winners!
Teens from 29 different schools in the Miami Valley submitted 283 entries in the annual Dottie Yeck Good Life Award Writing Contest. The top three winners were from Centerville City Schools and 11 Honorable Mentions went to students from Oakwood, Incarnation, Centerville and Miamisburg. Thank you to all the participants and Fran Kick for a fun and inspiring awards presentation.

Give this month’s featured database a try! Heritage Quest Online is a great resource for those interested in researching their family tree! This subscription-based database is just one of many offered to Library cardholders free of charge! Check Research Central for other databases available.
Summer Reading Club Begins June 3
Register your children for this year’s Summer Reading Club beginning June 3! Registration is NOT required for teens and adults. Simply read what you like and submit a reading ticket when you are done to be entered in the prize drawings!
Summer Hours
The Woodbourne Library will be closed on Sundays throughout the summer beginning May 26. Centerville Library will continue to be open 1-5 PM on Sundays during the summer. Both libraries will be closed on May 26-27 in observance of Memorial Day.
