Adults (ages 18-up)
Take the Great Books Reading Challenge by reading great books all year long!
Great books excite, enlighten and entertain! Participate in the Adult Great Books Challenge by selecting and reading 12 great books, from any of our Great Books Featured Booklists, during 2010. Bring your Adult Reading Challenge Tracking Sheet to either library to get a stamp for each book read. Complete the entire Adult Great Books challenge to be entered into the December 1, 2010 grand prize drawing to win 2 free tickets to Dinner at the Trace!
Teens (grades 5-12)
Read to win!
Teens! Want to net all the rewards of reading plus some great prizes? Take part in the Teens Great Books Reading Challenge. Simply read 12 books, during 2010, from any of the Great Books Featured Booklists or teen related reading lists or any book recommended on the Cool Reads & Hot Picks blog. After you read each book, visit the library, submit a Teen's Entry into the monthly drawing and log the book title on your Teen Challenge Tracking Sheet. Complete the entire Teen Great Book Challenge to be entered into the year-end special prize drawing.
Kids (grades K-4)
Read lots. Have fun!
Hey kids – make reading even more fun by taking the Kid's Great Books Reading Challenge! Just read as many books as you want off any library reading list (including Great Books Featured Booklists and Kid's Top Ten Lists). After you read each book, visit the library and submit a Kid's Entry into the bi-monthly drawing for fun, food party with the librarians!
Preschoolers (under age 5)
Build your preschooler's love for reading!
Parents, foster your child's love of reading by participating in the Preschool Great Books Reading Challenge with your child. Simply read your preschooler any book that appears on a Library reading list or storytime fingerplay handout. Each book read nets a Preschool Entry into a drawing for a board/picture book.
