Great Books, Great Libraries - Celebration
Celebrate the culmination of the Library's 200th anniversary year at this semi-formal fundraising event at Yankee Trace Golf Club. This is sure to be the event of the season featuring riveting keynote presenter, Bob Danzig, good food and music, and a silent auction!
Bob Danzig, author and former 20-year CEO of the Hearst Newspaper Group, understands the power of the printed word and its ability to impact people’s lives. Bob grew from a childhood spent in several foster homes to a successful career at the helm of the Hearst Corporation. You’ll be entertained and inspired by his story of personal growth and more! Fran Kick, author, professional speaker, educational consultant and creator and presenter of KICK IT IN® a series of self-motivational personal leadership presentations and materials will emcee the event. You'll enjoy his energy, sense of humor, inspiration, and positive message.
Enjoy the outstanding music of Hillary and Rick Wagner with Tim Schaiper of Jim's Red Pants. This will be an evening of waltzes, elegant melodies, interesting harmonic twists in Original, Celtic, Historic and Contemporary American, Scandinavian, and lots of other world folk music.
More than 30 exciting baskets on which to bid. Each basket is creatively themed around a great book! Be sure to place a bid on your favorite items!
