Remember yield at friendship problems. Turn right at geometry. Slow down on the parental highway. Those are just a few statements from my Atlas of Life. My atlas keeps me going, reminding me where to reach for the stars, where to tell the total and absolute truth, and where to admit my defeat. Share some of my priceless words? Why, of course, I would love to. After all, why not?

The first page of my atlas is filled with the saying, "Be yourself". Yes, I know. It sounds so commercial and fake, but it is so true. Over the past couple years, I have seen people who haven't acted like the Kristen I knew, or the the Brittaney I spent so many hilarious times with. You all know what I mean. One day, you and your best friend are talking about CSI:MIAMI and how much you love it, and then the next day she's talking to someone else about how much she hates CSI. Basically, no one likes it when you're not yourself. Why pretend to be someone you aren't? Your personality is just as exciting.

About eleven pages into it, you see a page about solving problems. Problems are like pimples. Sometimes, they appear out of nowhere and leave in a day or two, or one day when you wake up you find one that is like a mountain waiting on your once perfect face. You try everything to get rid of it. You wash your face with facial soap, you make a mask that feels like biscuit dough, you even try to pop it, but it won't go away. Eventually, you get to the dermatologist to get some help to make it go away. The next day, it's gone! That's my philosophy on problems. Some problems, you can work out on your own. There are several problems that you can't solve by yourself. Even though I do not prefer it, sometimes going to your parents is the answer. They will give you advice if you like it or not. Almost always, they are a great resource.

To save the best for last, the final page is filled with the quote,

"Just remember, amateurs built Noah's Ark, professionals built the Titanic. This says it all. You never know how well you can do unless you try. When you don't try in a sport like soccer, you get drafted on to a horrible team that loses that every game. You could have focused on the game, and used all that negative energy you had into the game, but you did not and look where you are.

Swerve to your right, turn left at picking a college, and stop at birthdays. Just remember, acclerate through everyday as if there were no tomorrow, speed through everyday like you reached a new goaline.
