Surviving teenage years and gaining success; I say it may be impossible. But there is that little hope that gets me along. “Live, laugh, love.” This quote is important to me and is the basis of my plan for the present and future. For those tough, exciting, and emotional teenage years, I will always have this quote to fall back on. “Live.” I will live each day to its fullest and appreciate my life. I will try each day to not take my life for granted. Instead I will open my eyes to see all the wonderful things God has blessed and given me. “Laugh.” Worrying about everything under the sun will get me nowhere. No matter how old I am I shouldn’t be ashamed to have those pesky laugh lines. I shall take great pride in them, and know when I’m older that I had a good time just livin’ life. Life’s too short to sweat the small stuff, so I will enjoy my time while I can.

“Love.” I will love my neighbor as I love myself. Causing conflict and not caring for all will only cause catastrophe in my plan. These three things will guide me through the good, the bad, and the ugly on my road to success

Another part of my plan for surviving and thriving is to use my God given talents. Without them I do not think I would get very far in life. One of the achievements I take pride in is playing on a premier soccer team. Soccer has taught me to be a team player and how to cooperate with others. It has also taught me to be fair, play fair, and be a good sport; on and off the field. Personally, I believe I am a good listener also. Listening to my friends is one thing I do best. I can usually relate to their problems and work through it with them.

The final talent I have, if I may, is being myself. Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me. People can think or say what they want but being me is what I do. It has taught me to be independent and not worry about what others think. It will give me the confidence I need on the next few years to get through whatever life may throw at me. For my plan, I will continue to do these things to better myself and impact other people’s lives for the better.

The next few years may be a little wild, crazy, or even scary, but the plan I have made for myself fits me completely and will get me through these times. If I stick to these goals I will be living the good life. Success is just around the corner.
